Abstract:The extraction of alteration mineral information by using the multi-spectral remote sensing data plays an important role in search for mineral deposits. In this paper, the authors have described the alteration anomaly information of calcitization, dolomitization and chloritization extracted from the Maguan-Dulong Sn deposit in southeast Yunnan by using ASTER data. The alteration anomaly information is well consistent with the field geological survey. The results show that the alteration information extracted from ASTER is effective in the potential assessment of mineral resources and the ore-prospecting prediction.
