Abstract In the area without logging curve, the reservoir prediction will encounter very great difficulty in seismic reservoir prediction. In order to solve this problem, the authors used stack migration data and seismic velocities of different incident angles in combination with genetic algorithm from pre-stack seismic waveform inversion of elastic parameters estimation to construct the virtual log curve.Practice shows that this means can solve the problem of getting the virtual logging curve in the area without drill holes and obtaining better result. With this method, more reliable virtual log data can be provided for seismic reservoir prediction.
