Abstract Based on the principle of Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor,the authors put forward packaging of fiber grating strain sensors,and studied its sensing characteristics with laboratory experiments. Fiber Bragg grating sensors in monitoring geological hazards were studied based on the emplacement of landslide processes and monitoring, and fiber Bragg grating sensors were used to monitor the process of change. In combination with practical applications, the field application examples of grating sensor for monitoring landslides were given. The early-stage monitoring results were obtained and analyzed. Advices are proposed for handling the problems that may occur during the instrumentation.
