Abstract Generally, one single non-seismic geophysical and geochemical method can not meet the requirements of oil exploration, and hence we need to use a variety of methods to carry out the comprehensive analysis and determine the favorable areas of oil and gas.In this paper, the authors studied the comprehensive evaluation of oil and gas exploration that combined the hierarchy analysis and the eigenvalue analysis. The application in the Erdos Basin oil and gas zone shows that the oil and gas anomaly areas delineated by this method has a good corresponding relationship with the known oil and gas enrichment areas controlled by drilling.
