Abstract With the help of multispectral data collected by Landsat-7 and the in situ data collection and on the basis of the preprocessing of the remote sensing data and the spectral and correlation analysis of data, the authors made an analysis of the boric anhydride content of the Zhabuye salt lake, which has a high concentration of boric anhydride and complex components, as evidenced by the results obtained by such methods as ratio enhancement, principal components and density slice. It is found that there exists spatial distribution regularity governing the boric anhydride content of the Zhabuye salt lake.
