THE APPLICATION OF PRINCIPAL COMPONENT INTEGRATION OF BAND RATIOS TO EXTRACTING HYDROTHERMAL ALTERATION INFORMATION
Zhao Yuanhong, Zhang Euxiang, Chen Nanfeng
    REMOTE SENSING FOR LAND & RESOURCES. 1991, 3 (3): 12-17.   DOI: 10.6046/gtzyyg.1991.03.02
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (391KB) ( 1076 )

Authors applied the principal component integretion of different band radio images to enhancing hydro-thermal alteration information and developed a new method for extracting mineralized information from Landsat TM data in volcanic rock area covered by vegetation, moist subtropical zone. On trial, great successes have been achived in Bamao Au and Ag multimetal mineralized area, Xinchang County, east Zhejiang province. Not only are the known altered zones in the mineralized area displayed effectively, but also several unknown hydrothermal altered zones, silicified quartz veins, ore-ccontro- lling structures and volcanic apparatuses, which are very useful for mineral prospecting, are revealed here.

LAND RESOURCES DYNAMIC STUDY WITH AIRBORNE REMOTE SENSING OBSERVATION IN SANCHUAN RIVER VALLEY IN SHANXI PROVINCE
    Qiao Yuliang
    REMOTE SENSING FOR LAND & RESOURCES. 1991, 3 (3): 18-26.   DOI: 10.6046/gtzyyg.1991.03.03
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (553KB) ( 723 )

How to use aerial photographs and their group samping method with the aid of computer statistic calculation and supplementary mapping to achieve the dynamic study for land resources was introduced in this paper. To take the land resources investigation in Sanchuan River valley in Shanxi Province demonstrated land resources dynamic variation in the last 23 years in this area.

A SOFTWARE PACKAGE OF IMAGE PROCESSING FOR MULTI-GEOSCIENCE INFORMATION INTEGRATION IN GEOLOGICAL EXPLORATION
Yang Wenjiu, Wang Runsheng, Liu Xinji, Zhang Weiqing, Yang Wenli, Jin Peidong, Cao Wenyu, Yao Guoqing
    REMOTE SENSING FOR LAND & RESOURCES. 1991, 3 (3): 27-36.   DOI: 10.6046/gtzyyg.1991.03.04
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (2297KB) ( 934 )
A software package developed on I2S SYSTEM 101 for processing and integration of digital images in geological exploration is presented. Multigeoscience information recorded in different ways from geology, remote sensing, geophysical exploration, geochemical exploration, geography and other disciplines is processed, including registration and mosaic, features extraction, spatial operation and logical operation, and synthesising of different geodata images,by means of the functions in the package. The package provides an useful tool for geological mapping, structure analysis, mineral resources exploration and evaluation, and environment monitoring.

FEATURES AND CORRECTION OF THE SYSTEMATIC DISTORTION IN PANORAMIC SCANNER IMAGERY
    Tan Haiqiao
    REMOTE SENSING FOR LAND & RESOURCES. 1991, 3 (3): 37-42.   DOI: 10.6046/gtzyyg.1991.03.05
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (1108KB) ( 742 )
After briefly describing the features of geometric distortions in remote sensing imagery the emphasis of this paper is placed on the discussion of the sources, extent and variations of systematic distortions in panoramic scanner images, including Landsat-TM, Landsat-MSS and aerial multispectral scanner images. To calculate quantitatively the distortion extent D, a formula is proposed. An example using the aerial multispectral scanner image from southern Germany shows that the systematic distortions in different parts of the image can be corrected satisfactorly and the edge compression can be compensated relevantly also.

A METHOD OF FILTERING OFF THE INTERFERENTIAL STRIPES ON TM6 NIGHT IMAGES
    Zhu Yuee
    REMOTE SENSING FOR LAND & RESOURCES. 1991, 3 (3): 43-46.   DOI: 10.6046/gtzyyg.1991.03.06
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (200KB) ( 889 )
It is necessary to remove the interferential stripes distributed on the TM6 night images, when we use them for thermal infrared investigation. A new method, "destripes filter" is introduced in this paper. The Key points of the method are to determine the position of these stripes by means of "median value" and to conduct a 2-dimensional smooth filter to delete the noise points which formed the stripes on the original images. It was proven in a thermal infrared detection and investigation of underground coal fire that the method could keep the original information better and make new satisfying images.

THE ACCURATE ASSESSMENT OF LANDUSE SURVEY IN THE SOUTH OF CHINA USING TM DATA
Wang Shenfa, Wang Renchao, Wu Jiaping, Liang Jianshe, Jin Li
    REMOTE SENSING FOR LAND & RESOURCES. 1991, 3 (3): 47-54.   DOI: 10.6046/gtzyyg.1991.03.07
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (464KB) ( 862 )
The study of landuse survey using TM4, 3, 5 data was made in the suburbs of Hangzhou, Southern China. With digital processing and optical magnifying, the false color composed images were interpreted visually Comparing with the Conventional surveying results, it is Shown that the accuracy of the study results Could fulfil quality requirements for landuse survey in the test region.

AN EVALUATION OF REMOTE SENSING RESEARCH FOR LANDUSE──The rural area in the middle part of Sheyang County, Jiangsu Province acts as an example
    Wang Huihui
    REMOTE SENSING FOR LAND & RESOURCES. 1991, 3 (3): 55-60.   DOI: 10.6046/gtzyyg.1991.03.08
    Abstract   HTML   PDF (1169KB) ( 774 )

In this paper a new digital processing scheme of data combination for BI (bright index), VI (vegetation index) and TM5 which are valuable to identify the land types and can reflect the major information characteristics of TM data, Such as brightness. green level, humidity etc. is suggested, and a method to compile the 1:50,000 landuse map using the data and images Processed hi the scheme is introduced. Comparing the results of automatic classification by computer with visual interpretation, a comprehensive evaluation of remote sensing research for landuse is also made in the paper.
