Abstract: Based on the principles of the remote sensing technology and the characteristics of electromagnetic radiation of various rocks and minerals in the hydrothermal alteration zone, an evalution of the air-borne and space-borne imagery for gold exploration has been elucidated in this paper f Which is in comformity with the geologic features as well as the ergularity of mineraliza-tion of different types of gold deposits The methodology for remote sensing and its implementation principles are.suggested for three major types of gold deposits i. e. the Archaean green-schist vein-type gold deposits, the fine-grai-ned disseminated gold deposits, and the volcanic-rock gold deposits.
