A BRIEFINC OF PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS FACING CHINA'S TERRITORIAL RESOURCES

Abstract  

China's territorial resources have come to a serious situation. Arable land is alarmingly shrinking, land desertization is fast expanding, forest resources are speedily decreasing in amount, territorial resources are terribly polluted, and fresh water resources are in short supply. So, the administration of territorial resources must be strengthened. Adepartment should be organized for comprehensive administration of territorial resources; relevant laws, administration methods and executing regulations should be formulated; use and development planning should be made and should be implemented to the letter. For these purposes, a remote sensing system for territorial resourees change monitoring should be built, and a remote sensing system for time monitoring of natural calamities should also be established, so as to speed up the completing of territorial resources database and to ensure a scientific and rational macro-directing.
