Abstract

This paper briefly introduces the significance of using TMdata to investigate the damage of forest caused by wind and the method for abtaining the information concerning the wind damage by means of computer technique, Illustrations are given out as to the acreage of damage by wind in the forest area of Changbai mountains, the timber volume and the results of the area for analysis by using remote sensing means and the advantage of applying remote sensing technique in investigating the damage of forest by wind is also evaluated.
