Abstract Liuzhi-Langdai region is rich in mineral resources but being complex in geology and structural deformation patterns. In this paper, the author applied a new method of recovering local structural deformation field and tectonic stress field---"Remote Sensing Image AnalysingMethod" which was advanced by the author, major structures and transverse tensional joints related to the major structures in the region were systematically interpreted. According to the new method, local structural deformation field was established and the tectonic stress field was recovered. On the basis of geological analysis, conditions controlling ore deposits was discussed.
