Abstract  Based on the field hyperspectral measurement technique in the in-situ leaching study of sandstone type uranium deposits, this paper adopted the modified Guassian model and the vegetation red edge parameter model to study the diagnosable spectral characteristics and quantitatively analyze and extract the absorption spectral features of the sandstone uranium deposits in northern China, with satisfactory processing results achieved.
