Researches on Generalization Technology for Land Use Mapping Based on 2nd National Land Survey Data

Abstract  Using the 2nd national land survey data and focusing on the semantic generalization and graphics generalization, the authors reduced the dimension of the area-patches to achieve the area proportion of different kinds of land-use. At the same time, the authors proposed the minimum area principle. Experiments have proved that the generalization results guided by the principle can more accurately reflect the geographical attributes of the original map.
