Abstract  The application of SARremote sensing image becomes wider. Because it can penetrate to a certain depth into ground, and is very sensitive to water content, so it's more powerful than other remote sensing methods in water exploration in arid area. This paper takes the area of Alashanzuoqi in Inner Mongolia as an example, introduces the application method of water resource exploration with SARimages, including orthgraph correction, fusing with TMimage and its application result in brief.
