The data sources from the CBERS—02B satellite in the panchromatic band, multi-spectral band and IKONOS multi-spectra were used to perform the fusion test by DWT and DTCWT. The results show that the DTCWT could achieve a fairly good balance between the details of the space and the maintaining of the spectra, thus improving the quality of image fusion. In comparison with other fusion methods, the CBERS—02B panchromatic band can not only yield images of more information with the fusion of its multi-spectral band but also result in a good visual effect and readability with the fusion of other sensor data. The CBERS—02B satellite therefore has remarkable application prospects.
