Abstract  This paper deals mainly with the method of dynamic DEM matching. Based on reviewing the current situation of missile guidance, the authors put forward a new idea of missile guidance-- missile guidance helped by dynamic DEM matching, with a description given concerning its idea and its implementation procedure. A lot of key problems of dynamic DEM matching are discussed, such as feature extracting, feature describing, feature matching, and solving of transform parameter. Two experiments are used to prove its effectiveness. It is thus concluded that the idea of dynamic DEM matching is feasible. The suggestion about further research is also made in this paper.
