Abstract  This paper introduces mainly the method and results of measurement of surface radiance temperature and ground temperature in different depths for research on the mechanism of thermal anomaly induced by ground oil-piping. The optimum time and season for thermal infrared scanning imaging is analysed based on the results of measurement. The anomaly intensity and vertical attenuation amplitude of ground temperature are discussed in it. The temperature gradient and thermal flow value are computed. The changing few of thermal transmission caused by ground oil--piping at night is discussed.
