Abstract Based on CCD and HR data of CBERS—02B satellite and adopting digital landslide technique, the authors set up the DEM of the landslide area. Using the 3D visualization technique and the interactive interpretation method, combined with geological environment and structure conditions of Beichuan County, the authors also scientifically analyzed the area, moving direction, conditions and inducing factors for landslide formation along the blocking river course from Tangjiashan to Beichuan county seat.
