Abstract Based on researches on the physical mechanism of atmospheric delay, this paper has studied the atmospheric effects in repeated track InSAR measurements and put forward four ways to analyze the effects based on SAR interferograms. The research progress, especially in the correction of atmospheric effects, is reviewed comprehensively. Different approaches to mitigating the atmospheric effects as well as their problems and limitations are discussed and compared with each other. At last, some suggestions are given for future studies.
